Free AT Training at OSU-Stillwater |

October 17th is the Assistive Technology Demo Day!
OSU Student Disability Services, in partnership with OSU Information Technology and Oklahoma AbleTech will be offering free training, directly from professional trainers provided by our partners in the industry. We're providing this training on the software packages we use as part of OSU's Disability Awareness Week.
This training is available to students, faculty, and staff of OSU and its branch campuses. In addition, members of the Community, Oklahoma A&M campuses, technology managers, and other interested parties are welcome to attend. We will also have demonstration CD's, free copies of the Microsoft Accessibility tooklit, hardware demonstrations, and product literature available for you to take. Space is limited, so mark your calendars and sign-up now!
Our schedule for the day is as follows:
- 8:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. - JAWS (screen reading for blindness or low-vision)
- 10:45 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. - OpenBook (scanning and reading for blind or low-vision)
- 1:00 P.M. to 2:30 P.M. - MAGic (Magnification software for visual impairments)
- 2:45 P.M. to 3:45 P.M. - Dragon Naturally Speaking (voice recognition and dictation for individuals with mobility or cognitive impairments)
- 4:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. - WYNN (Learning and Writing Support for cognitive impairments)
Come for the whole day, or stay for only the software that interests you. All sessions will be located in room 408 in the Classroom Building on the OSU-Stillwater campus, one building north of the Student Union, on the Northwest corner of Hester and Morril Avenue. Parking is available in the Student Union parking garage for approximately a dollar per hour.
