About ZoomText
ZoomText is a screen magnifer by the company AI Squared, literally designed to magnify the contents of the screen from anywhere between 1.25 times to 36 times. The software also has a built-in screen and document reader, allowing for the use of voice navigation and assistance with the magnification. In addition to manipulating the size of text and graphics on the screen, the software is also capable of changing color schemes, altering the pointers for visibility, and is highly configurable for multiple individuals. Individuals settings are stored centrally on the Assistive Technology server, and will allow an individual to start the software with the same settings that were saved previously.
Training
ZoomText is designed to be intuitive, operating with two major screens, one for magnification and one for reading. Due to the fact that the software is so highly configurable, it is recommended that any student needing a specific accommodation please contact our office for assistance in getting the software configured and set for the exact requirements necessary to provide the best learning experience. Additionally, we offer in-house training of the software, and due to the ease of use, we recommend this short walk-through to indoctrinate anyone interested in using the software.
