About Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9.0
Dragon NaturallySpeaking, created by Nuance, is a voice-to-text dictation system that allows the use of naturally-formed speech for both the dictation of data entry for forms, documents, etc., as well as the command and control of the Windows desktop. Due to the time and complexity involved in training the software to one's own voice, we utilize a networked version of the software that allows for the storage and maintenance of voice profile data on a centralized server, which is accessed by the server at each start.
Training
Dragon NaturallySpeaking is quite complex, although basic operation can be understood within a short amount of time of beginning use of the software. The software comes with an in-depth tutorial system that will guide one through basic operation with a comprehensive, animated walk-through. Additionally, we offer the manual in PDF format with the installation, and also provide training through our office for more in-depth use. Due to the highly customized nature of the software, the software can only be run after training the software to your own voice. This requires at least five minutes of natural reading short stories that Dragon NaturallySpeaking provides and guides you through. The more training that one provides, the more accurate the software will be. The software continues to learn as one works with it, correcting errors and providing more voice samples for it to work with.
